PLASpain

National Platform for the Promotion of Cold Plasma
in Biomedicine and Agri-Food

We connect science, medicine, and industry to advance cold plasma and plasma-treated liquids toward innovative, sustainable, and safe applications in health and food sectors.

The PLASpain Network focuses on biomedical and agri-food applications of cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) and plasma-treated liquids (PTL/PAW).

Its main goal is to coordinate and strengthen collaboration among leading Spanish groups to share, develop, and consolidate therapies, processes, and standards currently under evaluation—positioning Spain as a reference in cold plasma science and technology.

PLASpain establishes a synergistic network that connects research groups, the medical and hospital community, the agri-food industry, equipment manufacturers, public administrations, and professional associations. Through scientific-technical seminars, shared access to unique equipment, short research stays, and an open digital platform, the Network promotes technology transfer, training, and multidisciplinary collaboration to accelerate the transition from laboratory research to clinical and industrial practice.
