11th International Conference on Plasma Medicine / 10th International Workshop on Plasma for Cancer Treatment

Several members of two research groups (University of La Rioja and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – UPC) attended the 11th International Conference on Plasma Medicine / 10th International Workshop on Plasma for Cancer Treatment, held in Gifu, Japan, from May 31 to June 5, 2026. During the conference, the researchers presented their latest research findings. In particular, the University of La Rioja group contributed with studies focused on biofilm inactivation and the development of plasma-treated liquids for disinfection applications, while the UPC group presented research related to the use of plasma-treated hydrogels and their biomedical applications. In addition, Dr. Cristina Canal (UPC) was honored with the Plasma Medicine Award.
